Success

Success. It is what we all desire, and strive for in our lives. We set for ourselves, what success is in our own life. There is a natural standard of “success”, but what is the success you want to achieve?

I have always believed that I am going to change the world. On a daily basis, I try to impact the people around me and influence them in a positive way. So often we find ourselves going through the motions. We just do what we do because it is easy, someone else is doing it, or because it is all we know.

Maybe it is time to start thinking outside the box, and get outside of our comfort zones.  We see success around us, but to what level? What is the level of success that YOU want to hit? Have you thought about it before? Do you have goals for yourself?

I really want to encourage you to think about those questions. I am not asking you to pick a career, I am not asking you to determine what you want to do with your life, but rather, I am asking what is it you want to see come to fruition in your life.

So now that you might have a few things in your head… what steps are you taking to reach those goals? Every goal needs to have mini goals, or steps, along the way. They are crucial to you achieving your success. Like I said before, I want to change the world, and that is the biggest goal in my life. When I see that I am impacting people’s lives in a meaningful manner, only then will I see the success I dream about. To get to that though, I have to set some goals along the way. I have to analyze what it takes to impact people, and set steps to do that. Some of the steps will be easier than others.

This kind of thinking will change your life. If you have not taken the time to think through some of this stuff, it is time to do that! The trick is staying true to yourself through it all though. You will need a why (Why am I doing this?), and you will need to make sure that it is something that isn’t reliant on others. When it boils down to it, this is your success. Find the people that will enable you, find people that have similar goals, and run with it no matter what.

Success is achievable.

My Broken Heart for a Broken World

My heart is broken.

Today, I had time to retract from the world and just listen. Time to hear from God and just be still. During that time today, my heart was broken. It dawned on me how many people really do not know the Lord. It is not that I do not think about that, or realize what a lost world we live in today, but today it just seemed to grip me more then it has before.

I come into contact with, literally, thousands of people everyday and am in a position where I get to invest in people. Giving them a smile, their caffeine fix, or calling them by name... I impact people. It makes me think, look back, and see how I could have impacted people in my past interactions. Not to get stuck in the past, but to look, reflect, and move forward.

Do you make the effort to really connect with the people you come into contact everyday? I think that we could really effect world if we would take more time and effort to really connect with people. I am definitely not perfect at always making that extra effort and time to really connect with people, but it is something that I strive to do everyday and I see it really impact people.

People are very guarded today, and a lot of it has to do with the amount of hurt people experience in life. I want to change that! I want to connect with people at a deeper level and impact them in a positive way. I have always thought that I am going to be a world changer, and maybe the way that I will do that is by really connecting, loving, and impacting people at a personal level.

I want to live a life that is going to bring people to the Lord! I desire you to join me and change this world.

Take some time, slow down, and just embrace the quiet. Realize who you impact, reach, and interact with on a daily basis. Remember, you are a priest. You impact the world everyday... How will you move forward?
